Stack PhotoBooth is a side hustle of mine that blends my love for design, technology, and photography. I wanted to create a photobooth experience that felt as premium as the events it serves—something elegant, modern, and seamlessly integrated into any setting. From the handcrafted American Black Walnut enclosure of Lumens to the unique interactive montage concept of Stack Booth, every detail was designed to elevate the traditional photobooth experience.
The branding for Stack PhotoBooth was just as important as the product itself. I focused on a refined, minimal aesthetic that reflects the sophistication of high-end weddings and corporate events. The visual identity is sleek yet inviting, with a timeless monochrome palette and typography that exudes understated luxury. Every design choice, from the website to the user interface, was made to create a cohesive and seamless experience that embodies the brand’s essence.

At the heart of Stack PhotoBooth is Lumens, their elegant free-standing photobooth, named after my daughter. Crafted with precision, it is encased in a custom-built American Black Walnut structure, skillfully made by close friend and artisan Manu Bhangra. Lumens features a sleek and sophisticated design that seamlessly complements any venue. Equipped with a Canon R100 camera and an iPad, the booth operates completely wirelessly, printing instantly via a nearby Dye Sublimation Photo Printer.
A standout feature of Stack PhotoBooth is Stack Booth, a unique secondary booth designed to run alongside Lumens. This custom-built wooden structure allows for photos to be digitally composited into a montage, enabling individual images to interact creatively—offering guests a one-of-a-kind keepsake from their event.

The user management system is entirely custom-built, with no external user management software. It is fully integrated with payment processing and event management. Within their profiles, users can view printout designs, update event details, select booth options, and handle payments for deposits or invoices—all with a high degree of automation to streamline operations.
ollowing an event, photos taken from both booths are uploaded to users’ profiles, where they can be easily shared via secure links with password protection to ensure privacy.
As part of the learning process behind building the platform, I also developed an automated system that integrates with Google Apps. Payment details are automatically logged into Google Sheets to track transactions and tax records. Additionally, once a deposit or invoice is paid, the system not only updates the website’s booking calendar to prevent double bookings but also generates a Google Calendar event, inviting participants to access event details and booth timings seamlessly.
