We at tothepoint partnered with Croydon BID to launch Checkout Croydon – a bold, city-wide loyalty scheme designed to boost local retail and leisure. Building on our long-term relationship with the BID, we delivered a full creative strategy across branding, campaign messaging, digital UX, and rollout, bringing a unified identity to a multichannel initiative aimed at residents, workers, and visitors.
The project centred on creating a standout brand that could sit within Croydon BID’s wider ecosystem while resonating with diverse audiences. From the playful name and logo – two interlocking C’s forming a subtle location pin – to cheeky, benefit-led messaging and striking neon visuals, we crafted an identity that was energetic, accessible and perfect for digital and real-world use. The loyalty card was designed for both print and mobile wallets, with a seamless sign-up system that automated digital card generation and synced with the client’s CRM for smart, scalable distribution.
To bring the brand to life in a cost-effective, engaging way, we integrated AI tools into the creative process – particularly for custom visuals and character concepts. Combined with animated content, web development, and on-the-ground materials, this delivered a cohesive, tech-forward campaign that positioned Croydon as a vibrant destination while offering real value to local businesses and communities.
Relaunching the Checkout Croydon Card with tothepoint has been a real full-circle moment. They helped shape the original scheme, so it’s been fantastic to partner with them again, this time with a fresh and bold new vision that reflects the energy and variety of Croydon town centre.
