Whilst working at tothepoint, we redesigned the Croydon BID website, merging its separate BID and consumer platforms into a single, unified site. The goal was to create an engaging space that speaks to both local businesses and consumers while reflecting Croydon’s vibrant and diverse community.
Taking inspiration from Croydon BID’s previous Checkout Croydon brand, we introduced a fresh, consumer-friendly look with bold typography and vibrant colours. The site features locally themed hero images, showcasing the borough’s landmarks, people, and events, reinforcing its cultural identity. A clear distinction between business and leisure ensures that local business owners and levy payers can easily access BID-related information, while consumers can explore a user-friendly directory of businesses, venues, and retailers.
To enhance usability, we implemented a pop-up mega menu for intuitive navigation, making it simple for users to find key content. With a design aesthetic that reflects Croydon’s ambition to be a sustainable and welcoming destination, the site now serves as a dynamic hub that supports the BID’s ongoing initiatives and vision for the area.
